这样的抗议是值得尊敬的，但是错误的！
Let's put the records straight: Why I Am Against the Olympics in China from Day One:
其实，我的arguments很简单，最根本的就是两条：
第一，浪费纳税人的钱，包括我的钱。念过经济学入门的都知道边际效用，所以如果一定要把这400亿美元花掉的话，我宁愿这些钱花到偏远地方去，花在加固学 校、付老师的薪水上。不用跟我说贪污的事，北京搞奥运被贪污掉的绝对不比边远地方少，我说的边际效用指的是被贪官们高抬贵手放过的那部分。
第二，一个在过去六十年、三十年、二十年、十年以这样的方式对待自己国民的政府根本不配举办这样的全球聚会。就是因为这点我说上面的抗议以及以前的很多抗 议——无论是巴黎、伦敦还是拉萨、北京——是“错误”的。It's a "shame" that Tibet has taken the centre stage in the whole issue. Protests should target the overall HUMAN RIGHTS records in China, be they in Tibet, Xinjiang, or other places, and be the victims the Tibetan monks, the other ethnic and religious groups, or dissidents and journalists who are simply trying to tell the truth.
至于空气污染，我还真不认为是个问题。既然将近两千万北京居民每天不得不呼吸这样的空气，既然那些奥委会委员投了这种票，作为运动员，你能做的是通过你手 中的选票和代表你的议员来影响你自己国家的奥委会组织，让他们下回别投这种不靠谱的票。这一次，对不起，你可以选择不来，不过如果你决定来参赛就别怪北 京。
